Ioana Matei

My research focuses on how glioblastoma, a highly aggressive brain tumor, interacts with the brain microenvironment and affects brain function. Using human iPSC-derived models and patient-derived tumor cells, I study how interactions between tumor cells, astrocytes, and neurons contribute to tumor progression and cognitive impairment.
